This Week in Grade 3:

Hello Everyone! I hope you have enjoyed the weather this weekend. Here's what we are up to this week in grade 3. 

Thursday: Bible Test, Spelling Test (see list below pictures)

Friday: Language Test, Memory Work Test - Proverbs 20:11 - "Even a child is know by his (her) doings, whether his (her) work be pure, and whether it be right."

We are also continuing to work on our posters for social studies. All the students have their research done and are now finishing up their posters. Here's some pictures:

Friday: Memory Work Test - Psalm 34:14 "Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it."


In social studies we are using books, brochures, maps, etc. to do research on the maritime provinces in Canada. If your child desires they may do some extra research at home on the computer and either print out or write down their findings. When the students have their research finished, they are going to make posters as a group and present their information to the class. It's exciting to see how excited they get when they find cool facts about the different provinces. :)

Word Problems.... MATH CLASS

Word problems are always a challenge in math, so today we used pictures, symbols and words to help solve those math problems. The kids really worked hard in their math groups. Keep up the great work! 

Warm and Cold Colour Landscapes!

A taste of art class today in grade 3. We used pastels to create warm and cold coloured landscapes. They turned out awesome!! :)

WOW, I cannot believe we have two weeks of school behind us already! On Friday, we were able to skype a teacher from British Columbia and ask her all about her province as part of our social studies unit on Canada. Open House...

It was great to meet most of you Friday evening at the open house. Here's a little taste of the guess who game that parents/guardians/grandparents/etc. got to play Friday night. I pray that your child will feel blessed in grade 3 and continue to grow in Christ this year.

Hello Everyone, 

Welcome to the grade 3 blog!!

We had a great first day together in grade 3. We talked a lot about routine and rules and also had time for some fun activities with one another. 

I hope that this will be a great year for your child and that they will learn lots. 

Keep following the blog for more news and updates. I'm going to eventually post digital copies of the memory work, spelling lists and other such lists for your convenience. I first need to figure out how to do that.
